2. Press the new pump packing by hand, with the grooved side in, into the pump housing, then install the pump packing spacer.
3. Insert the drive shaft into the pump body, then drive it in with a socket as shown in the figure.
4. Place the ring clamp with the 40mm radius curved side facing out.
5. Apply power steering fluid to the pump cover seal and insert it into the groove in the pump cover.
6. Slide the outer side plate onto the two rollers.
7. Place the pump cam ring on the two rollers with the mark «O» on the cam ring up.
8. Place the pump impeller in the pump cover.
9. Insert 10 spatulas into the groove on the wheel. Make sure the rounded ends of the vanes are in contact with the sliding surface of the cam ring.
10. Apply power steering fluid to the O-ring and insert it into the groove in the side plate.
11. Place the side plate on the cam ring, aligning the roller holes in the side plate with the rollers.
12. Apply power steering fluid to the O-ring and insert it into the pump housing.
13. Place the pump cover assembly on the pump housing.
14. Apply power steering fluid to the flow control valve.
15. Insert the flow control valve and spring into the pump housing.
16. Apply power steering fluid to the O-ring and insert it into the flow control valve cap.
17. Place the flow control valve cap on the pump body and tighten.
18. Apply power steering fluid to the O-ring and insert it into the groove in the inlet fitting.
19. Install the inlet fitting on the pump housing.
20. Install the pulley as shown, then install the pulley nut. Secure the power steering pump in a soft vise. Do not damage the pump body with the vise jaws.
21. Fix the pulley with the extension and tighten the pulley nut.
22. Verify that the pump rotates smoothly by turning the pulley.
