2. Press the new pump seal by hand with the grooved side facing inward into the pump body, then install the pump seal spacer sleeve.
3. Insert the drive shaft into the pump body, then drive it in with the socket head as shown in the figure.
4. Place the 40mm ring clamp with the radius side facing out.
5. Apply power steering fluid to the pump cover seal and insert it into the groove in the pump cover.
6. Place the outer side plate onto the two rollers.
7. Place the pump cam ring on the two rollers with the "o" mark on the cam ring facing up.
8. Place the pump impeller into the pump cover.
9. Insert 10 blades into the groove on the wheel. Make sure that the rounded ends of the blades contact the sliding surface of the cam ring.
10. Apply power steering fluid to the O-ring and insert it into the groove in the side plate.
11. Place the side plate on the cam ring, aligning the roller holes in the side plate with the rollers.
12. Apply power steering fluid to the O-ring and insert it into the pump body.
13. Place the pump cover assembly onto the pump body.
14. Apply power steering fluid to the flow control valve.
15. Insert the flow control valve and spring into the pump body.
16. Apply power steering fluid to the O-ring and insert it into the flow control valve cap.
17. Place the flow control valve cap on the pump body and tighten it.
18. Apply power steering fluid to the O-ring and insert it into the groove in the inlet fitting.
19. Place the inlet fitting on the pump body.
20. Install the pulley as shown in the figure, then tighten the pulley nut. Secure the power steering pump in a vice with soft jaws. Do not damage the pump body with the vice jaws.
21. Secure the pulley with an extension and tighten the pulley nut.
22. Check that the pump rotates smoothly by turning the pulley.
