Checking components

Checking fuel pressure

1. Relieve the fuel pressure,

2. Assemble a circuit with a pressure gauge to check the fuel pressure.

2. Assemble a circuit with a pressure gauge to…

3. Check the fuel pressure.
  • a) Start the engine.
  • b) Check the idle pressure.
  • c) Turn off the engine.

If the pressure is not within specification, replace the fuel filter and pressure regulator and repeat the test.
  • Nominal pressure - 3.1 - 3.6 kg/cm²

4. Relieve the fuel pressure and remove the pressure gauge.

Nozzles

1. Check the resistance between the terminals of the injector connector.
  • Nominal resistance (at 20°C) - 10-13 Ohm

A - injector connector.

A - injector connector.

2. Using a phonendoscope, check the operation of the injector with the engine running. The sound of the injector needle cutting off should be clear and rhythmic.

Fuel pump

1. Relieve residual fuel pressure.

2. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.

3. Remove the driver's side fuse box cover.

4. Slide the relay holder out of the fuse box, remove the main relay "2" (blue) and reinstall the relay holder.

A - holder,
