1. MTF replacement must be carried out in strict accordance with the vehicle's routine maintenance schedule.
2. Prepare a supply of fresh gear oil of the required grade (see specs).
3. Other tools and materials needed include: props to secure vehicle in raised position, 3/8" ratchet (with extension) to the socket wrench, a drainage container with a volume of at least 4 liters and a supply of rags and / or old newspapers.
4. Oil should be drained after being preheated to normal operating temperature during a short trip. Hot oil has a higher fluidity and is better at flushing out sludge and other deposits. After the vehicle has been driven for a short time and the transmission has warmed up to normal operating temperature, park the vehicle on a level, hard paved area, jack it up and support it on jack stands so that the crankcase drain plug is easily accessible. Unscrew the plug and drain the oil into the prepared drain container.
5. Replace the drain plug and tighten it firmly.
6. Pour the required amount of fresh gear oil of the required grade into the gearbox crankcase. The level can be considered normalized when the oil begins to flow over the edge of the filler hole.
7. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
