Warning! The models covered by this manual are equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), commonly known as the airbag system, as standard equipment. Before performing any work in the area of the directional G-sensors, steering column or instrument panel, be sure to deactivate the SRS system to avoid accidental deployment of the airbags, which could result in serious injury (see Chapter On-board electrical equipment).
