2. On V6 models, remove the intake manifold cover.

3. Disconnect the feed hose and pressure line from the pump. Note the difference between the feed and pressure line hoses, the former is attached to the pump with a spring-type clamp, while the latter has a union connection with two bolts. To prevent dirt from entering the system, immediately plug the open ends of the disconnected lines.

4. Unscrew the mounting and adjusting bolts of the steering pump. Remove the pump.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When connecting the pressure line, replace the sealing ring of the union nut. Do not forget to bleed the air from the steering system after completing the procedure (see Section Bleeding air from the hydraulic circuit of the power steering system) and adjust the tension of the drive belt (see Chapter Settings and ongoing maintenance).
