WARNING: Prolonged contact with USED engine oil can cause a number of skin conditions INCLUDING rec! You must make every effort to minimize your contact with used engine oil. Protective gloves must be worn when changing the oil. Wash your hands and any other contaminated skin areas as soon as possible after contact with used engine oil. Soap, water or waterless cleaning should be used.
Withdrawal
1. Be sure to apply the parking brake and block the rear wheels.
2. Raise and jack up the front of the vehicle.
3. Place a clean drain pan under the engine, remove the drain plug and drain the engine oil.
4. If necessary, remove the center beam and lower engine mount.
5. If the engine is equipped with a flywheel dust shield, it can be removed to provide access if necessary.
6. Remove the nuts and bolts of the oil pan (in cross order) and the oil pan itself; if necessary, use a mallet to knock out the corners of the oil pan.
For installation:
7. Use a new gasket. Apply sealant to the inside corners of the oil pan.
8. Install the oil pan. Tighten nuts and bolts to 14 Nm. Tighten nuts and bolts in a cross pattern.
9. Install the flywheel dust shield, center beam and bottom mount if removed.
10. Lower the vehicle to the ground. Refill with clean, fresh oil.
11. Start the engine at idle. Check for leaks.
