

Accord towbar
1. Raise and securely support the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear wheel.
3. Support the lower suspension arm using a jack,
4. Remove the bolt from the towing arm bushing.
5. Remove the mounting nuts from the knuckle and remove the towing arm.
6. Installation - in reverse order.
Upper control arm
1. Raise and securely support the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear wheel.
3. Support the lower suspension arm using a jack.
4. On Accord and Prelude, remove the cotter pin and castle nut from the upper ball joint. Use a ball joint puller to separate the ball joint from the knuckle.
5. Remove the upper control arm mounting bolts and the control arm itself. On the Prelude, the upper ball joint is individually replaceable, but not on the Accord.
6. If the ball joint on the Prelude has been replaced, tighten the mounting nuts to 55 Nm.
7. On Accord - install upper control arm mounts and tighten bolts to 39 Nm.
8. Attach the ball joint. Install the nut, tightening it to 44 Nm, and install a new cotter pin.
9. Install the wheel; lower the car to the ground.
Lower suspension arm
1. Raise and securely support the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear wheel.
3. Remove the strut and/or torque rod mounting bolts from the lower suspension arm.
4. On Prelude, remove the cotter pin and castle nut from the ball joint and separate the ball joint from the knuckle using the appropriate tool.
5. Remove the lower control arm mounting bolts and remove the lower control arm.
6. Installation - in reverse order.
