Do not tighten or loosen the spindle nut unless the vehicle is on all 4 wheels. The tightening torque is high enough that even a properly secured vehicle can tip over.
1. Loosen the rear wheel and spindle nuts. Raise the vehicle and secure it securely.
2. Release the parking brake. Remove the rear wheel and brake drum.
3. Remove the rear bearing hub cap and nut.
4. Remove the hub assembly from the spindle.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. After lowering the vehicle to the ground, tighten the new spindle nut to 185 Nm.
