2. Apply HONDA Genuine Urea Grease UM264 (P/N 41211-PY-305) on the release fork, release fork bolt, release bearing and release bearing guide.
3. Install the release bearing, release fork and release fork boot to the gearbox.
4. Install starter and hose clamp.
5. Place the gearbox on a jack and raise to the level of the engine.
6. Screw in two lower fixing bolts of a transmission.
7. Raise the gearbox, then install the support bracket and gearbox support rubber cushion.
- Tighten the mounting bolts and nuts in the sequence shown.
- Make sure the bushings are not twisted or misaligned.
8. Install the right front stop rubber pad/bracket.
9. Install the clutch cover.
10. Install the engine stiffeners.
11. Attach the cardan shaft to the transfer box assembly, aligning the marks on the flanges (only on SEPM manual gearboxes).
12. Install the rear engine mount bracket/rubber pad to the clutch housing.
Manual Transmission
13. Install the rear beam.
14. Install exhaust pipe A.
15. Install the intermediate shaft (see ch. «Drive shafts»).
16. Install drive shafts with new circlips (see see ch. «Drive shafts»).
17. Install the steering knuckle on the lower suspension arms, tighten the castle nuts and insert the locking pins (see ch. «Front and rear suspension»).
18. Connect the front stabilizer link and the front stabilizer bar, then fix the stabilizer link ball joint pin with a hex wrench and tighten the collar nut.
19. Install mudguard.
20. Screw in three upper fixing bolts of a transmission.
21. Connect the vehicle speed sensor connector (VSS).
22. Install the cable bracket and cables, rotate the shift lever boot so that the hole is pointing down.
23. Connect a socket of the switch of lanterns of a backing.
24. Establish a collar of a plait of electroconducting.
25. Connect starter cable and transmission ground cable. Make sure the crimp side of the cable lug is facing out.
26. Apply HONDA Genuine Urea Grease UM264 (P/N 41211 -PY-305) at the end of the working cylinder. Install the slave cylinder and clutch tube clamp so that the tube is not bent.
27. Turn the breather cap so that the mark «F» was directed towards the front of the car.
28. Install the battery. Connect the positive first (+) cable then negative (-) battery cable.
29. Fill with MTF transmission fluid (see above).
30. Road test the vehicle.
31. Check clutch operation.
32. Make sure the gearbox is quiet and smooth.
33. Check the alignment of the front wheels (see ch. «Front and rear suspension»).
