1. Remove the retaining ring, then remove the clutch end cover, clutch discs and plates.

2. Remove the disc spring.

3. Install the special tool as shown in the figure.

Note: If the special tool is installed with either end on a section of the spring retainer that is not supported by the return spring, the retainer may be damaged. Make sure that the special tool makes full contact with the spring retainer.

4. Compress the return spring.

5. Remove the retaining ring. Then remove the special tool, holder and return spring.

6. Wrap the clutch drum with a rag, inject air into the fluid passage and remove the piston. Apply pressure and close the other end with your finger.
