Caution: Do not contaminate the area where the cover is installed with grease.
1. Remove the boot from the lower arm and wipe off the old grease from the ball joint.
2. Pack the lower portion of the ball joint with fresh grease.
3. Pack the new boot and lip with fresh grease from the inside.
Warning!
- Do not apply grease to the boot installation area or the conical area of the ball pin.
- Do not allow dust, dirt or other foreign substances to enter the case.

4. Install the new cover using the special tool as shown in the figure.
Note: There should be no gaps in the areas where the cover is installed.

5. After installation, perform the following checks:
- Check the cover for damage and the area where the cover is installed for deformation.
- Make sure there are no gaps between the cover and the hinge body.
Caution: After installing the boot, check for dirty grease on the conical area of the ball pin and wipe it off if necessary.
