3. Loosen the steering wheel bolt, then install the steering wheel puller and remove it.

Remove the steering wheel taking into account the following:
  • Do not knock on the steering wheel or steering shaft.
  • If you screw the puller bolts into the steering wheel hub more than five thread pitches, the bolts will hit the spiral wire and damage it. To prevent this from happening, screw a pair of lock nuts onto the puller bolts at the level of the fifth thread pitch.
