2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the hot air intake control diaphragm.
3. Remove the air cleaner cover and filter element.
4. Disconnect the breather hose from the valve cover.
5. Carefully label and disconnect the vacuum hoses at the base of the air cleaner.
6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the solenoid on top of the air cleaner base.
7. Remove the 10mm nuts from underneath the air cleaner base.
8. Remove 4 nuts, air screens and their flanges.
9. Remove the air cleaner base.
10. Carefully mark and then disconnect the vacuum hoses going to the carburetor assembly.
11. Disconnect the throttle cable.
12. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the manifold.
13. Drain the coolant and disconnect the 3 cooling hoses from the heat wax valve.
14. Disconnect the fan hose running from the tank to the air vent shut-off solenoid valve.
15. Disconnect the tank cleaning hose in the vacuum manifold.
16. Disconnect the carburetor wiring connector and the connector to the throttle body heater.
17. Remove the main fuel supply hose from the right side of the vacuum manifold.
18. Loosen the insulator fastening and remove the carburetors as a whole with the vacuum manifold attached.
