1. Check the power steering fluid level and pump belt tension.
2. Disconnect the fluid supply hose from the pump and connect the pressure gauge (special tool).
If pressure gauge 07406-0010000 is used, connect pressure regulator 07406-0010300 (special tool) between the pressure gauge and the joint section.

- Tightening torque of adapter bolts and nuts: 11 N·m (1.1 kg·m)
3. Open the shut-off valve fully.
4. Start the engine and leave it at idle speed.
5. Adjust the pressure control valve until the pressure gauge needle stops.
6. Warm up the oil by turning the steering wheel left and right several times.
- Oil temperature during measurement: 45±5°C
7. Check the pressure gauge needle. If the needle does not settle, adjust the pressure control valve.
8. Measure the steady-state oil pressure.
- Steady-state oil pressure: not higher than 1500 kPa (15 kg/cm²)
If the pressure is higher than normal, check that the tubes and hoses are not blocked or pinched, and check the valve block.
9. Close the shut-off valve and measure the oil pressure.
Caution: If the valve is closed for more than 5 seconds, the pump may be damaged.
- Closed valve pressure: 7200-7800 kPa (73-80 kg/cm²)
If the pressure differs from the specified value, replace the pump.
10. Open the shut-off valve completely and stop the engine.
