Table of signs of malfunctions
Caution: To prevent damage to the power steering pump, do not hold the steering wheel in the extreme left or right position for a long time.
- Before performing troubleshooting, make sure the power steering fluid level and idle speed are normal.
- If you hear an abnormal sound and you believe it is caused by fluid flowing through the system, remove the pump belt and see if the sound goes away.
