Replacing the Transfer Case Driven Gear Bearing (Honda HR-V 1)

Note: Apply oil to all parts when assembling.


1. Using a special tool, press out the tapered roller bearing from the transfer case driven gear shaft.

2. PRESS
3. WASHER
4. TAPERED ROLLER BEARING
5. PIPE DISPLAYER, 0-4.5 inches (commercially available)


2. Install a 35mm thrust washer onto the transfer case driven gear shaft.

3. Using the special tool, press a new tapered roller bearing onto the transfer case driven gear shaft as shown in the figure.

Note: Use the old transfer case spacer to install the bearing, then discard it.
