You can find any combination of numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4 in any engine. Nominal diameter: 48.0 mm
Note:
- Reference numbers indicate the diameter of the big end of the connecting rod and do NOT relate to the location of the connecting rod in the engine.
- Check the connecting rod for cracks or heat damage.
1. Reference figure for the diameter of the big end of the connecting rod. One half of the figure is stamped on the bearing cap, the other half is on the connecting rod.
2. Check bolts and nuts for fatigue cracks.
