You can find any combination of numbers 1, 2, 3 or 4 in any engine. Nominal diameter: 48.0 mm
Note:
- The reference numbers indicate the diameter of the big end of the connecting rod and are NOT related to the location of the connecting rod in the engine.
- Check the connecting rod for cracks or thermal damage.
1. Reference figure for the diameter of the big end of the connecting rod. One half of the number is stamped on the bearing cap, the other half on the connecting rod.
2. Check bolts and nuts for fatigue cracks.
