Withdrawal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Attention! If the stereo system installed in the car is equipped with a security code, before disconnecting the battery, make sure that you have the correct combination to activate the audio system!
2. Jack up the car and put it on stands.
3. Disconnect the hydraulic line from the clutch slave cylinder. Using a hammer and punch, knock out the cylindrical pin from the cylinder and disconnect the fitting. Have a dry rag ready to catch spilled liquid.
4. Turn out two fixing bolts.
5. Remove the executive cylinder.
Installation
1. Install the slave cylinder in its regular place on the clutch dome and tighten the fixing bolts with the required force. Make sure the tappet is seated correctly in the clutch release fork pocket.
2. Replace the union o-ring and run the hydraulic line into the receptacle in the cylinder. Install the retaining pin in place.
3. Fill the cylinder with the required amount of DOT 3 brake fluid.
4. Bleed the hydraulic system (see Section Removal of air from the hydraulic path of the clutch release drive).
5. Lower the vehicle to the ground and connect the negative cable to the battery.
