2. Find the tempostat fuse and check its condition (see Section Fuses - general information).
3. Operation of the sensor-switch of stoplights reacting to depressing of a pedal of a foot brake (or Pedal Position Switch [BPP]) should lead to the shutdown of the tempostat. Have an assistant depress the brake pedal and check that the brake lights are working properly.
4. If the brake lights do not respond to pressing the pedal, find out the cause of the failure and repeat the check of the tempostat functioning.
5. Check the condition of the drive cable routed from the servomotor/tempostat booster assembly to the throttle linkage. Replace damaged or worn cable.
