Attention! Wear gloves to protect your hands from cuts when performing procedures through the access holes in the door frame.
Lock latch assembly
1. Raise the window pane, then remove the door trim panel and splash screen (see Section Removal and installation of panels of an internal upholstery of doors).
2. Remove the stem connecting the outside handle to the latch through the large hole in the door frame. Do the same with the stem of the inner handle, as well as with the stems of the outer and inner locks and (with appropriate equipment) electromagnetic actuator.
3. All stems are secured with plastic clips. Release the part of the retainer that engages with the stem, then pull the stem to release it from the mounting hole. On models equipped with a single lock, disconnect the appropriate wiring harness from the latch assembly.
4. Turn out screws of fastening of a latch to a door. Remove the latch assembly through the hole provided in the door frame.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Outside handle and door lock cylinder
1. Close the window and remove the door trim panel and moisture barrier (see Section Removal and installation of panels of an internal upholstery of doors).
Note. To avoid damage to the paintwork of the door panel, tape the window under the fit of the door handle.
2. Through a special hole in the door frame, release the plastic fasteners fastening to the latch of the actuating rods of the outer handle and door lock.
3. Remove the plugs, then remove the outer handle mounting bolts.
4. Remove the handle assembly with the lock cylinder. If necessary, the cylinder can be removed from the assembly by releasing the lock. With a corresponding vehicle configuration, the electrical wiring connector is removed by releasing the fixing bolt.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
