Removal and installation rear view mirrors (Honda Accord 6)

Exterior mirrors

1. On models equipped with power outside mirrors, remove the interior trim panel and door weather strip (see Section Removal and installation interior door trim panels).

2. Using a screwdriver, remove the triangular decorative panel from the interior trim of the mirror support unit.

3. If equipped, disconnect the electrical wiring from the mirror.



4. Remove the three mounting bolts and remove the mirror assembly from the door.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Interior mirror

1. Push the mirror assembly downwards to release the support portion of its bracket from the mounting bracket glued to the windshield.

Note: The bracket is secured in the bracket using a spring clip, which can be pried off with a screwdriver if necessary.

2. If removed, reinstall the spring clip. Rotate the mirror assembly 90° and insert the support part of its bracket into the mounting bracket of the base on the glass. Push the assembly upward, then rotate it to its normal position. Make sure that the assembly is securely fixed in the mounting bracket.
