Main and fixed glass of rear doors

1. Remove the door interior trim panel and moisture protection shield (see Section Removal and installation interior door trim panels).

2. Lower the glass until you can access the bolts on the guide. Loosen the bolts and, holding the glass, push the guide back. Once the glass is free from the guide, carefully lower it to the bottom position.

3. Release the inner sealing strip from the door frame and rear channel, thus providing the necessary slack for removing the channel. Release the outer sealing strip from the door, allowing the upper channel screw to be unscrewed.

4. Pull the glass guide channel forward, separating it from the fixed glass, then remove the channel from the door through the top and leave it hanging on the weatherstrip (to avoid damaging the paintwork of the door panel, cover the latter with an old towel).

5. Now the main glass can be removed from the door frame through the window opening.

6. Next, if necessary, you can remove the fixed door glass - proceed carefully, as the glass may be installed quite tightly.

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. If the sealing strip cannot be seated tightly enough, use a special cementing compound. Until the cement hardens, the strip can be fixed with tape.

Note: Before tightening the main glass mounting screws, ensure that the main glass is seated firmly in the front guide channel.

Rear fixed quarter windows (Coupe models)

Replacing rear fixed vents requires certain skills and experience from the performer and should be entrusted to auto service specialists.
