Replacing door glass and window lifter (Honda HR-V 1)

Note: Wear protective gloves when removing and installing the glass and window regulator.


1. Remove:
  • Door panel (see above)
  • Plastic lid

2. Carefully lift the glass until you see the bolts. Loosen them. Slide the guide back, then remove the glass from the guide and carefully lower it. Do not drop the glass inside the door.

3. Disconnect the connector and remove the harness clamp from the door. Mark the original location of the roller guide bolt by running a scriber around it. Loosen and remove the bolts, then remove the window regulator through the hole in the door.

  • Move the glass up and down and make sure it moves without sticking.
  • Make sure that there is no gap between the glass and the guide channel when closed.
