EGR system control and cleaning control (Honda Accord 3)

The controls associated with the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) and the purification control system are housed inside the control box on the bulkhead. These components include the EGR control solenoid valve, the CVC valve and air box if used, and the purification shut-off solenoid valve.

Replacing any of these units requires removing the control box from its mountings, disconnecting the external electrical connectors, and opening the control box. Disconnect the vacuum hose(s) from the unit and remove the unit. Installation is the reverse of the above.
