1. Check the gear and bearing surfaces for wear and damage, then take measurements on the intermediate shaft at points A, B and C.

A:36,000-36,015 mm35.95 mm
IN:36,984-37,000 mm36.93 mm
WITH:24,987-25,000 mm24.94 mm

Intermediate shaft — wear check


If any part of the intermediate shaft is less than the specified limits, replace it with a new one.

2. Check the runout.
  • Standard: 0.02 max.
  • Limit: 0.05 mm

Note: Place the intermediate shaft with both ends on the supports as shown in the figure.
