Withdrawal
1. Remove the timing chain.
2. Remove the oil receiver and oil pump.
Examination
1. Remove the oil pump cover.
2. Check the gap between the teeth of the male and female rotors.
- Nominal clearance - 0.02 - 0.14 mm
- Maximum clearance - 0.20 mm
If the clearance exceeds the maximum, replace the oil pump.
3. Check the clearance between the rotors and the oil pump housing.
- Nominal clearance - 0.02 - 0.06 mm
- Maximum clearance - 0.15 mm
If the clearance exceeds the maximum, replace the oil pump.
4. Check the radial clearance between the driven rotor and the housing wall.
- Nominal clearance - 0.10 - 0.18 mm
- Maximum clearance - 0.20 mm
If the clearance exceeds the maximum, replace the oil pump.
5. Check the rotors and pump housing for nicks or other damage. Replace defective parts if necessary.
6. Install the oil pump cover.
Installation
1. Install the pins and a new O-ring on the oil pump; Align the rotor with the crankshaft and install the oil pump.
2. Install the oil receiver with a new gasket.

C - oil pump,
D - oil receiver,
E - gasket.
3. Install the timing chain.
