Caution: Before starting work, disconnect the cables from the battery and wait at least 3 minutes.

1. Turn the front wheels to the straight-ahead position and make sure the steering wheel is also in this position.

Attention.
  • Remove the steering wheel straight, without any distortions.
  • Avoid impacts to the steering wheel and column shaft.

Installation



Caution: Make sure the cables are disconnected from the battery before starting work.


1. Make sure the front wheels are in the straight-ahead position.

2. Adjust the position of the coupling as shown in the figure and install it.

3. Perform steps 5-8 of the "Removal" section in reverse order.



4. Center the coil of the electric wiring. To do this, first turn it with the pin until it stops clockwise, then turn it to the left by 2.5 turns.

After installation, connect the cables to the battery and perform the following check:
  • Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position and check that the SRS indicator light comes on and goes out after 6 seconds.
  • Turn the steering wheel fully left and right and check that the SRS indicator light does not come on.
  • Check the operation of the horn.
  • Check the operation of the cruise control switch.
  • Check the operation of the radio switch.
