Caution: Before starting work, disconnect the cables from the battery and wait at least 3 minutes.
Please follow the recommendations during removal ch. Body.
1. Disconnect the 2-pin side airbag connector.
2. Remove the seat assembly.
3. Remove the seat back trim.
4. Tilt the seat and remove the side airbag wiring clips.
5. Unscrew the 2 nuts and remove the airbag.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Attention.
- Do not open the side airbag cover.
- If the cover is secured with tape, remove the tape. Place the airbag in a plastic bag.
- Replace the airbag mounting nuts with new ones and tighten them to the specified torque.
- When removing the backrest trim, be careful not to touch the sensor fixed in the padding. Make sure that no oil, etc. gets on the sensor, otherwise the sensor will be damaged.
- Check the tightness of the trim fastening to the backrest frame. Incorrect installation may prevent the cushion from unfolding.
- Be careful not to damage the airbag wiring. Move/tilt the seat forward and check that the 2-pin connector is securely fastened.
After installation, connect the cables to the battery and perform the following check:
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position and check that the SRS indicator light comes on and goes out after 6 seconds.
