Caution: Before starting work, disconnect the cables from the battery and wait at least 3 minutes.


Removal



1. Disconnect the connectors of the driver and front passenger front airbags and seat belts, see above.

2. Remove the center bottom cover.

3. Bend back the floor covering.

4. Disconnect the U connectors from the SRS unit1o, U2o and U3o.

4. Disconnect the U connectors from the SRS…


5. Using a T30 head, unscrew 2 TORX bolts on the left side of the SRS unit and 1 on the right side.

Do not apply any impact to the SRS unit or adjacent parts. Do not use impact wrenches.

6. Remove the SRS unit.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten the TORX bolts to the required torque.



After installation, connect the cables to the battery and perform the following check:
  • Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position and check that the SRS indicator light comes on and goes out after 6 seconds.
