Precautions when using rollers:
- Inspection and testing with a chassis dynamometer is not possible.
- Avoid hard depressing the accelerator pedal, brake pedal or turning the steering wheel sharply. This could cause the vehicle to roll and cause an accident.
- The maximum test speed shall not exceed 50 km/h.
- The time of continuous operation should not exceed three minutes.
- Secure the vehicle with side and center cable braces. The rollers should be placed under the rear wheels.
Warning!
- Place the rollers parallel to the roller of each speedometer test fixture.
- If the front and rear wheels are not properly positioned on the speedometer tester and rollers, the vehicle may roll and cause an accident.
- The side and center cables must be properly tensioned. If the guys will sag, the desired retention efficiency will not be achieved.
- When securing the side and center cable braces, make sure that they do not touch the bumper and other parts of the car body.
- Attach guy wires only in the places indicated.
- The speedometer tester may be operated at a speed not exceeding 50 km/h and for no more than three minutes.
Test procedures
1. Position the rollers according to the wheelbase and track width of the vehicle.
Note: Align the position mark with the baseline.
2. Place the vehicle with the front wheels on speedometer test fixtures and the rear wheels on rollers. Align the centers of the wheels with the centers of the speedometer and roller test fixtures.
3. Tie the vehicle securely to the tow hook and rear bracket to prevent the vehicle from rolling off the rollers.
4. Start the engine, shift to 3rd gear (ITUC) or to position D (CVT/Honda Multi Matic), gradually accelerate the vehicle and measure the vehicle speed.
5. After measuring, gradually decelerate with the brake pedal and stop the vehicle.
