Parking brake — checking and adjusting (Honda Fit 1)

Examination

Pull the parking brake lever with a force of 196 N. Count the audible clicks.

Lever travel:

• right hand drive models - 6-10
• left-hand drive models - 6-8 clicks

Adjustment

1. Remove the center console (see chapter "Body").

2. Fully release the parking brake lever.

3. Loosen the adjusting nut (A).



4. Press the brake pedal several times.

5. Pull the parking brake lever one click.

6. Tighten the adjusting nut until the rear wheels begin to drag slightly.

7. Fully release the parking brake lever and make sure the rear wheels turn freely and do not drag.

Repeat adjustment if necessary.

8. Install the center console (see chapter "Body").
