Note: When removing and installing the parking brake cables, refer to the figure "Removal and installation the parking brake".
Models with rear drum brakes
1. Loosen the adjusting nut.
2. Remove the brake drum and brake shoes. Disconnect the parking brake cable (A) from the parking brake lever.

3. Remove the cable retainer (B) from the parking brake retaining bushing (C) on the rear side of the brake shield (D).
4. Pull the parking brake cable out of the cable retaining sleeve.
5. Disconnect the cable from the regulator and remove the parking brake cable.
Note:
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- When installing:
- align the protrusion (E) on the cable with the recess (F) in the cable retaining sleeve;
- install the cable so that the groove (G) in the cable aligns with the slot (H) in the bushing.
- install the retainer (I) as shown in the figure.
- After installation, adjust the stroke of the parking brake lever.
Models with rear disc brakes
1. Release the parking brake lever.
2. Remove the center console (see chapter "Body").
3. Loosen the adjusting nut (A) and disconnect the parking brake cables (C) from the adjuster (B).

4. Remove the retainer (B) and disconnect the cable from the bracket (A).

5. Disconnect the parking brake cable (D) from the lever (C) and remove the cable.
Note:
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- After installation, adjust the stroke of the parking brake lever.
