Anti-lock braking system (ABS) — description of the diagnostic system (Honda Fit 1)

The electronic control unit has a fail-safe system that can detect a malfunction in the system. When a malfunction is detected, the electronic control unit switches off the ABS system and the "ABS" indicator lights up on the instrument cluster.

Location of ABS system components.
1 - fuse box in the underhood space,
2 - rear right wheel speed sensor,
3 - rear left wheel speed sensor,
4 - fuse box in the passenger compartment,
5 - front left wheel speed sensor,
6 - diagnostic connector (DLC),
7 - front right wheel speed sensor,
8 - pressure modulator with ABS system control unit.
