Reading fault codes
1. With the ignition off, connect the scanner to the diagnostic connector (A).
2. Turn on the ignition and read the fault codes. For detailed information on the fault code reading procedure, see the operating instructions for the diagnostic tool.
3. After reading the codes and troubleshooting, delete the codes (see the subsection "Deleting trouble codes").
Clearing fault codes
1. With the ignition off, connect the scanner to the diagnostic connector.
2. Turn on the ignition and clear the fault codes. For detailed information on the procedure for clearing fault codes, see the operating instructions for the diagnostic tool.
3. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the scanner.
