Caution: Before carrying out any work, support the front wheels with chocks and apply the parking brake.
1. Loosen the rear wheel nuts.
2. Jack up the rear of the vehicle and place stands on it.
3. Remove the rear wheels.
4. Chisel and unscrew the hub nut.
5. Disconnect the rear differential from the frame and disconnect the drive shafts (see section "Rear differential").
6. Using a plastic hammer, tap the end of the drive shaft to remove it from the rear wheel hub.
Grasp the outer hinge and pull it strictly in a lateral direction so as not to damage the ABS sensor.
Pulling on the drive shaft may cause the rollers to fall out. If the rollers fall out, remove the cover and reinstall them.
