3. Apply marks and remove the rollers with the crosspiece from the hinge housing.

4. Mark the crosspiece and rollers and remove the rollers from the crosspiece.
5. Remove the retaining ring, mark and remove the crosspiece from the drive shaft.

6. To avoid damaging the boot, wrap the drive shaft splines with vinyl tape.
7. Remove the clamp and boot from the drive shaft.

8. Remove the vinyl tape.
9. Check the drive shaft and replace if necessary.
