Testing the starter brush holder (Honda HR-V 1)

1. Make sure there is no continuity between the positive and negative brush holders. If there is continuity, replace the brush holder assembly.

2. Insert the brush into the holder and move the brush to the commutator, then hook the spring on the spring balance. Measure the spring tension at the moment when the spring lifts the brush.
