Engine testing
1. Remove the driver's side door panel and disconnect all connectors.
2. Disconnect the 6-pin connector from the power window motor.

Caution: When the motor stops rotating, immediately disconnect one terminal.
3. Check the motor operation in both directions by supplying battery power and grounding according to the table.

4. If the engine does not run or runs rough, replace it.
Testing the Feedback Loop
1. Disconnect the 6-pin connector from the power window motor.
2. Check the voltage between the contacts:
- When the ignition switch is in the ON (II) position, there should be battery voltage between terminals #6 (+) and #4 (-).
- Connect an analog voltmeter between contacts #5 (+) and #4 (-), turn on the electric window lift motor in the downward or upward direction. The voltmeter needle should alternately deflect forward and backward.
- Connect an analog voltmeter between terminals #3 (+) and #4 (-), turn on the electric window lifter motor in the downward or upward direction. The voltmeter needle should alternately move forward and backward.
