Engine testing
1. Remove the door panel from the driver's side and disconnect all connectors.
2. Disconnect the 6-pin connector from the power window motor.
Warning! When the motor stops rotating, disconnect one lead immediately.
3. Check motor operation in both directions by applying battery power and grounding according to the table.
4. If the motor does not run or runs rough, replace it.
Feedback loop testing
1. Disconnect the 6-pin connector from the power window motor.
2. Check voltage between pins:
- When the ignition key is in the ON position (II), between contacts No. 6 (+) and #4 (-) should be battery voltage.
- Connect an analog voltmeter between pins #5 (+) and #4 (-), operate the power window motor in the up or down direction. The voltmeter needle should alternately deviate forward and backward.
- Connect an analog voltmeter between pins #3 (+) and #4 (-), operate the power window motor in the downward or upward direction. The voltmeter needle should alternately deviate forward and backward.
