Note: Before disconnecting the wire from the battery, make sure you know the access code for the radio. Otherwise, the radio will be blocked.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the air filter housing (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures").
4. Disconnect the wire clamps (A) and remove the battery tray (B).
- Tightening torque - 22 Nm
5. Carefully, so as not to damage the tubes, remove the slave cylinder (A) of the clutch release drive (see chapter "Clutch").
Caution: Do not press the clutch pedal with the clutch release slave cylinder removed.
6. Remove the cover (B), the clamp (C) and the tube (D).
7. Disconnect the reversing light switch connector (A) and the wire clamps (B).
8. Loosen the bolts and remove the bracket (A), then disconnect the transmission control cables (B) from the transmission.
Note: Remove the bracket with cables carefully to avoid bending the cables and place them aside.
9. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor connector (A).
10. Install the shackle (A) to support the engine.
11. Remove the upper gearbox mounting bolt (A) and the lower starter bolt (B).
12. Install special tools for hanging the engine as shown in the figure.
13. Jack up the car and place it on stands.
14. Drain the oil from the gearbox (see section "Checking the level and replacing oil in the manual transmission").
15. Remove the dirt protection.
16. Remove the drive shafts (see chapter "Drive shafts").
17. Remove the clutch protective cover.
18. Loosen the bolts and remove the bracket (A) and stiffener (B).
19. Loosen the bolts and remove the steering gear mounting bracket.
20. Hang the steering gear to the body on both sides.
21. Remove the three bolts of the rear gearbox support.
22. Jack up the front suspension beam.
23. Loosen the bolts (A) and remove the front suspension beam (B).
24. Loosen the bolts and remove the rear support (A) and support bracket (B).
25. Loosen the bolts and remove the front gearbox support.
26. Remove the air filter bracket.
27. Remove the vehicle from the stands and lower it.
28. Loosen the bolt and remove the gearbox support bracket (A) and ground wire (B).
29. Jack up the car.
30. Jack up the gearbox.
31. Loosen the gearbox mounting bolts.
32. Move the gearbox away from the engine until the gearbox input shaft is completely clear of the clutch housing.
33. Slowly lower the gearbox approximately 150mm and ensure all hoses and wires are disconnected from the gearbox.
34. Remove the clutch release fork (A) from the clutch housing (B) by squeezing the spring (C) with pliers.
