A - oil receiver,
B - oil pump.
2. Remove carbon from the top of each cylinder with a reamer.
3. Turn out bolts of covers of radical bearings in several passes in the sequence shown in drawing. To avoid damage, turn the bolts no more than ⅓ turn per pass until they loosen.
4. Remove the bridge of covers of radical bearings.
5. Remove the main bearing caps. Arrange the covers in the order they correspond to the cylinders.
6. Remove the crankshaft from the cylinder block. Be careful not to damage the necks.
7. Remove the top bearings from the connecting rod and position them next to their respective caps.
8. Using a wooden hammer handle, squeeze the pistons out of the cylinder block.
9. Mark the cylinder number on each connecting rod and piston for ease of reassembly.
Note: the number on the connecting rod does not indicate its place in the cylinder block, but the size.
