1. Measure the cylinder diameter. If the cylinder block is reused, hone the cylinders and check the cylinder diameters.
2. Honed the cylinders using honing oil and a 400 honing stone in cross strokes (A) at an angle of 60°. Do not use worn or damaged honing stones.
3. After finishing honing, carefully clean the cylinder block from metal particles. Wash the cylinder block with soapy water, then with plain water and lubricate immediately with oil to prevent rust.
4. If roughness and scratches remain on the cylinder surface after honing, bore the cylinders to the repair size. Some roughness and scratches are perfectly acceptable if they cannot be caught with a fingernail and if they do not go along the entire length of the cylinder.
