Front Suspension Strut — Removal (Honda Fit 1)

1. Jack up the front of the car.

2. Remove the front wheels.

3. Disconnect the anti-roll bar from the strut.

4. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor retainer from the strut. Do not disconnect the sensor connector.

5. Unscrew the nuts securing the lower part of the strut, securing the bolts. Remove the bolts and the brake hose bracket.

A - ABS speed sensor wire,

B - brake hose bracket,
C - bolt,
D - rack.


6. Remove the plug from the upper support of the rack.

7. Secure the shock absorber rod from turning and loosen the nut.

8. Remove the nut with washer and the support of the strut from the body.

9. Remove the strut assembly and cushion.

Note: Be careful not to damage the body.
