Accord 1985-89 and Prelude 1986-89
1. Remove the main relay located near the fuse box under the dashboard.
2. Connect the positive battery terminal to terminal 4 and the negative battery terminal to terminal 8 of the main relay.
3. Check the continuity of the circuit between terminals No.5 and No.7 of the main relay. If the circuit is broken, replace the main relay.
4. Connect the positive battery terminal to terminal #5 and the negative terminal to terminal #2 of the main relay.
5. Check the integrity of the circuit between terminals No.1 and No.3 of the main relay. If the circuit is broken, replace the main relay.
6. Connect the positive battery terminal to terminal 3 and the negative battery terminal to terminal 8 of the main relay.
7. Check the continuity of the circuit between the 5th and 7th terminals of the main relay. If the circuit is broken, replace the main relay.
