Attention:
- Do not mix with other liquids.
- The use of non-recommended fluid may cause corrosion of the system.
- Do not reduce the coolant concentration. This can lead to a decrease in anti-corrosion properties. Use soft water to dilute the coolant.
- Change the fluid on a cold engine.
Set the temperature control of the air conditioner or heater to the HOT position.
1. Loosen the radiator cap and relieve pressure, then remove the cap.
Attention. Opening the radiator cap while the engine is hot can cause pressurized coolant to splash out. After the liquid has cooled, slowly open the radiator cap.
2. Loosen the drain cock and drain the coolant. Drain the reservoir at the same time.
3. Remove the engine drain plug and drain the engine coolant.
4. Tighten the drain cock.
5. Replace the washer with a new one and tighten the engine drain plug.
6. Pour a mixture of mild water and clean Honda Ultra coolant up to the top of the reservoir. During filling, loosen the air bleed screw on the thermostat housing. When the air is released and coolant starts to flow out, tighten the bleed bolt.
7. Warm up the engine for approx. 10 min. at speeds slightly higher than x.x. (approx. 1500/min) and make sure the thermostat opens.
8. Stop the engine and check the coolant level. If the level has dropped due to the removal of air from the system, add fluid to the base of the radiator filler neck. At the same time, add coolant to the reservoir up to the MAX level.
9. Start the engine again and at 1500 rpm. make sure the coolant level is not low. If the fluid level drops, then the air was not completely removed, so repeat the process of bleeding air and topping up the coolant until the level stops dropping.
10. If the coolant level has stopped dropping, install the radiator cap.
