Starter Calibration Procedure
When replacing the following components, the clutch control feedback signal must be entered into the PCM's memory:
- PCM module
- Gearbox assembly
- Starting clutch assembly
- Lower valve box assembly
- After assembly or repair of the engine
1. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature (fan heatsink turns on).
2. Switch to position D.
3. Turn off all electrical consumers.
Note: Excluding headlights; calibration can be carried out with the headlights on.
4. Drive your car on a level road.
5. Accelerate to a speed of 60 km/h, then release the accelerator pedal and decelerate for 5 seconds.
Note:
- Do not press the brake pedal to slow down.
- The feedback signal for the control of the starting clutch is entered into the memory of the PCM module.
6. Road test the vehicle, make sure the engine does not stall and the vehicle starts smoothly.
If the engine stalls or the gearshift fails when pulling away, recalibrate the clutch control feedback signal.
