Note: Diodes allow current to flow in one direction and prevent it from flowing in the opposite direction. Since the generator rectifier consists of six diodes, it is necessary to test for continuity in both directions using an appropriate ohmmeter; only 12 checks.
1. Perform a continuity test in each direction between:
- Terminals B and P (P1, RZ, P4)
- Terminals B' and P (P1, RZ, P4)
- Terminals E (ground) and P (P1, P3, P4) All diodes must conduct in only one direction.

2. If any of the diodes is faulty, replace the rectifier assembly (the diodes are not supplied separately).
