Testing of generator rotor slip rings (Honda HR-V 1)

1. Check the resistance between the slip rings.



2. It should be 1.8-3.0 Ohm.

• If the resistance is normal, proceed to step 2.
• If the resistance differs from the nominal value, replace the generator.

3. Make sure there is no conductivity between the slip rings and the rotor or rotor shaft.

4. If the rotor fails the conductivity test, replace the generator.
