Clutch Damper (Honda Fit 1)

Removal



Caution: Do not allow the working fluid to come into contact with painted surfaces. If the working fluid comes into contact with a painted surface, wash it off immediately.


1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

Note: Before disconnecting the wire from the battery, make sure you know the access code for the radio. Otherwise, the radio will be blocked.


2. Remove the battery.

3. Remove the air filter housing (see chapter "Maintenance and general check and adjustment procedures").

4. Remove the battery tray.

5. Disconnect the clutch hose (A) and pipe (B) from the damper.

Note: After disconnecting the tube, install a plug on it to prevent liquid from leaking.

  • Tightening torque: 22-25 Nm

Tightening torque: 22-25 Nm


6. Loosen the bolts and remove the bracket with the clutch damper.
  • Tightening torque - 22 Nm

Tightening torque - 22 Nm


7. Loosen the bolts and remove the clutch damper (A) from the bracket (B).


  • Tightening torque - 10 Nm

Tightening torque - 10 Nm


Note:
  • Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
  • After installing the clutch damper:
  • bleed the clutch release hydraulic drive (see section "Bleeding the clutch release hydraulic drive");
  • check for leaks and proper clutch operation.
