A) Check the electrolyte density of a fully charged battery at 20°C.
- Density - 1.25-1.27 kg / dm3
If the density is lower, charge the battery.
b) Check the electrolyte level in each battery cell and top up with distilled water if necessary.
2. Check up reliability of connection of plugs of the storage battery and absence of corrosion on them.
3. Check fuses and fuse links.
4. Check accessory drive belts.
5. Inspect the wires going to the generator, check the reliability of their connection, the condition of the wiring, as well as the presence of extraneous noise coming from the generator when the engine is running.
6. Check the low battery warning lamp circuit.
- A) Warm up the engine to operating temperature and shut it off.
- b) Turn off all auxiliary devices.
- V) Turn the ignition key to position "ON". The battery discharge indicator lamp should light up.
- G) Start the engine. The lamp should go out. If the conditions are not met, check the test lamp circuit.
