Attention:
- Check the condition and tension of the drive belts of the attachments as necessary.
- Check accessory drive belts on a cold engine or wait 30 minutes after the engine has stopped.
Examination
Note: The term "used belt" refers to a belt that has been in service for more than 5 minutes.
1. Check the tension of the accessory drive belts. Install the special device for checking the belt tension between the two pulleys in the place shown in the figure and check the tension. If the belt tension is greater than the permissible value, adjust it.
Belt tension:
- new - 981-1130 H
- used - 440-590 N
2. Apply a force of 98 N to the drive belt at the location shown in the figure. If the belt deflection is greater than the nominal value, adjust it.
Nominal belt deflection:
- new - 3.5 - 5.0 mm
- used - 5.5 - 8.5 mm
3. If necessary, adjust the tension of the drive belts of the attachments.
- a) Loosen the locking and setting bolt.
- b) Adjust the deflection and tension of the drive belts of the attachments using the adjusting bolt.
- c) Tighten all mounting bolts.
A - lock bolt,
B - mounting bolt,
C - adjusting bolt.
4. Check the tension and deflection of the drive belts of the attachments. Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
